Spring Massage Update and Music News!
Greetings,
I hope this note finds you enjoying all the sunshine after such a wet winter! I have a few updates to share with you.
As many of you know, I’ve been taking a biology class at Laney College. This has been in part for fun, and in part because it is the prerequisite for the cadaver anatomy class I’m hoping to take. Due to my class schedule, I haven’t been available on Thursdays at all or on Tuesdays until 2 p.m. My business hours are changing again as the spring semester concludes. I will be available for massage bookings on Monday and Wednesday 10-8, and Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10-6, starting in June. I’ll give you the Fall schedule once I have signed up for the next semester’s classes.
I also wanted to update you on my music career. Three and a half years ago I joined a band called Midtown Social. We’re a 9 piece soul band and we’re putting out our first full length album in a few weeks (we have two EP’s out you can already listen to on iTunes or Spotify). We’re proud to announce that we’ll be celebrating the album release with a big show on April 15th at the Mezzanine! I know that’s close, but I’d love to see you all and your friends there. For ticket information, click here. To RSVP on Facebook, click here.
I won’t be posting about the band much on this list. In fact, this is the first time I’ve shared much of that information at all here . If you’d like to be kept in the loop about future Midtown Social antics, send me a message and I’ll add you to my performance email list.
Lastly, I wanted to tell you about a fundraiser I did through my massage business due to our tumultuous political climate. For the month of February I gave $15 from every full priced massage to some great nonprofits, letting clients pick from a list where their chunk went. Some generous folks matched donations, and others matched those, so ultimately we raised $2,350 to some great causes! That was a success beyond my wildest hopes, so I will likely do something like that again in the future.
That’s all for now. Please let me know if you’d like to schedule some table time, and I hope to see you all soon.
Be Well,
– whit
