Mid-Summer Massage Update!
Greetings Folks,
I hope this note finds you well and enjoying the long warm summer days. 2009 has been a busy year so far, and I wanted to share some of what’s been going on and what’s to come.
Vote for me for Best Massage of the Bay!
The SF Guardian is holding its Best of the Bay Reader’s Poll and this year I’m hoping to win for best massage! Voting closes tomorrow, June 30th, so please take a moment to vote.

BodyWorker Certification
After over a thousand hours of training at the Institute of Conscious BodyWork, I’m proud to say that I’m now in the paperwork stage of getting my Master BodyWorker Certification. It’s been a long road and I’ve learned a lot from the wonderful folks up there. Just in this last year I’ve gotten certified in pregnancy massage, as well as taken classes in functional anatomy and scoliosis. Sadly, the school will be closing its doors at the end of this year, so if you’ve ever been curious to check out some classes there, now’ the time!
Injury and recovery
Around February I got into a minor car accident that left me with some pretty bad whiplash. I was pretty incapacitated for a while, but thanks to the wonderful bodywork of David Weinstock, acupuncture and cranio-sacral of Renee Hahn, chiropractic of Dr Dan Armstrong, and personal training of Cera Byer, I was able to get back to working full time in about 2 months. As much as I was frustrated with my circumstance, the whole experience has definitely renewed my appreciation for the value of this work, as well as bolstered my sympathy for the worry and fear that my clients may experience over their injuries. I am grateful to do what I do and very glad to be back at it.
August Schedule
For the first time in years I am not going to the east coast in the middle of the summer. Instead I will be taking a vacation at the end of August from the 21st to the 31st. So, if you want to book something in August, make sure you do so before then.
Odds and ends
Lastly, if you haven’t yet, feel free to add your review to my page on Yelp.com.
